Alair Homes Green Bay is Hiring a Jobsite Superintendent Near De Pere, WI

If you are great at construction, working with people, problem solving, being detailed and having a balance with some hands-on work, this might be the position for you! We are a custom builder that brings amazing high-end homes and renovations to life in Northeast Wisconsin!

What you'll do:

  • Work with project manager to see projects from start to finish (planning, construction and warranty)
  • Setting and reviewing construction timelines and order of operations - minimize last minute issues/tasks
  • You know construction and have extensive knowledge on complex blueprint reading, building codes, building science, working with municipalities and surveyors
  • Provide expertise on the project for clients giving options, confidence and solutions
  • Regular communications and with clients and trades with strong follow-up to open-ended issues
  • Use your keen eye for quality and structural issues and can independently, accurately, and efficiently solve problems
  • Perform hands-on tasks to keep the job running smoothly. Ranges from getting equipment on site for conditioning (dehumidifiers, sump pumps, concrete blankets, etc.) to specialty framing, punch lists, cleaning/prepping for the next trade, to unique circumstances that may not fall in a particular trade's scope of work
  • Review construction budgets and the impact materials, time, etc. have on a project and work to minimize unnecessary costs and time
  • Collaboratively work with trades on answering questions, fine-tuning installs, problem solving and quality control
  • Lead he effort on job site safety
  • Train and support growth of other team members; identify process improvements
  • Project closeout and warranty coordination

Skills and Mindset – Who You Are

  • Extensive knowledge of complex construction practices, building codes, blueprints, and working with municipalities
  • High level of comfort with computer programs including Microsoft and other software
  • Time blocking, schedule management and efficiencies is critical for you (disclaimer: this is extremely important to us, and we talk about it often - getting this under control for work leads to efficiencies that improve stress levels and time away from work)
  • Quality and doing things right the first time is important to you
  • Laser-precise when it comes to details, especially with construction quality control, schedules and job health of budgets and approvals/orders
  • Team player and growth minded – you want to be better tomorrow than you are today
  • You have getup and go
  • Bonus Points: You keep a calm face that masks a brain working at warp speed solving problems, strategizing, and executing before we know it. You see piles of supplies and can't help yourself -- you must organize it.

Requirements of a Jobsite Superintendent

  • 5 years of construction experience - able to provide proof of experience on complex builds where you made decisions and solved problems independently
  • People enjoy working with you and would describe you as a clear communicator with great follow-through
  • Physically capable of lifting typical construction supplies, moving tools, machines, and materials, bending over, and other like duties.
